Mongrel and Michael Graves

Kaley, the Hard-Rocking Maiden of Metal (HRMM), and I went to an awesome show on Saturday, Sept. 9. It was an all-ages punk show at Reflections Lounge in Tyngsboro, Mass.

There were quite a few bands that played, but HRMM and I missed most of them. We caught the two featured bands, however. They were and .

It was our first time to see Mongrel, so we were pretty excited about it. We've played them on The Underworld since our first show, so we were past due to catch their act. They put on an amazing performance, with lots of audience participation. I think half the crowd was on the stage half of the time. Our thanks to Mongrel for posing for a picture (soon to be found on our Pics page) and for rocking our asses.

The headliner of the show was none other than Michale Graves, formerly of The Misfits . They put on a hell of a show. As Hammer from noted, Michale Graves' voice is good enough to be a lounge singer. I don't intend to offend any punk vocalists, but you don't expect a punk band to have the voice of a crooner. They sounded great, and we had a lot of fun.
